Anthocyanidins (also known as OPC`s and pycnogenols or leucocyanidins) are similar in structure to bioflavonoids but are believed by many researchers to be much more bioactive. Cranberry juice has long been known to women for its ability to help maintain the health of the urinary system. Seatone contains the pure extract of an edible green lipped mussel, Perna canalicus, found only in the clear unpolluted water surrounding New Zealand. Pycnogenol is a remarkable herbal extract with the unique primary ingredient known as Proanthocyanidin, which in molecular structure is similar to flavonoids. The name `ginseng` can be applied to several plant products, all of which consist of the roots of members of the Araliaceae family.
